TASTING NOTES
Plum purple core to the rim. Spiced plum and vanilla bean, light cigar box complexity. Dry, notable acid supports intense red berry fruit core, layered with vanilla bean and find French oak complexity to a long, persistent finish.
WINEMAKING
Handpicked in late March, fermented in small batches and pressed to tank before racking to premium selected French oak hogsheads for 14 month long maturation.

"A reserve wine that lives up to its name. As a five-year-old, it impresses with its youthful vitality and emerging complexity. This wine is only starting its journey, and it’s got a while to go but, in the meantime, it is offering so, so much… black berries, black plum, loganberry and dried herbs…it is enlivened by a lovely thread of leafy herbals in harmony with spice, quality oak and earth, trimmed and well-shaped in fine, firm tannins. It is a joy to see a Margaret River Cabernet released with some age under its belt and looking so darn good..."
