Fishbone 2023 Black Label Chardonnay
Premium Margaret River Chardonnay from two vineyards.
The fruit was hand harvested, whole bunch pressed, wild fermented, lees stirred and matured in a selection of new and seasoned French oak barrels for 9 months.
Pale lime core to rim. Ripened white fruits of pear and apple with subtle toast and butter complexities. Dry, balanced acid, pear and apple characters of the nose flow though to the palate. Shows finesse to the finish.
TASTING NOTES
This is a full flavoured premium Chardonnay, straw coloured to the core with a feint green edge. Complex savoury notes offer butter biscuit with melon and stone fruits, followed by a rich palate of fruit intensity, with some savoury notes.

AWARDS
93 Points - Ray Jordan 2025
"An ideal season has resulted in an impressive Margaret River chardonnay. It's a full-bodied, intensely flavoured chardonnay, and the use of whole bunches with wild ferment in barrel with regular lees stirring has contributed to a rich and textured palate, with a lovely feel about it. Lemon zest, brioche, lemon meringue and even a little honeycomb character are all swirling through what is a complex, well-made wine. The faint hint of savoury chalkiness on the finish completes and defines an excellent wine."
